TooBaRoo Internet Marketing — specifically, the president of TooBaRoo, Breht Burri has been planning to launch an Internet Marketing Podcast for several years.
The goal was to become one of the top internet marketing podcasts by providing business owners and marketing professionals with valuable and actionable information. Consequently, we wanted to make sure we owned the .com version of the best "generic" name for the podcast. As internet marketers and domainers we know the value of a good generic domain and the importance of the .com tld. In 2007-2008 we starting tracking the domain name InternetMarketingPodcast and the shorter version InternetMarketingCast.com. In September of 2009 we obtained "Internet Marketing Podcast" in a drop from Pool.com. NOTE: We hand registered. The shorter "InternetMarketingCast.com" in 2008 in anticipation of launching the podcast under the longer name.
After too long a delay with no real good excuse we are ready to start streaming the podcast in November 2010. In preparation for the 11/2010 launch we did the following:
1) Set up a 3 month editorial calendar for the initial shows.
2) Lined up a series of guests to appear on the show. Internet Marketing Podcast guests need to meet this criteria…
- (a) They must have an expertise in a relevant topic area
- (b) they must be able to represent their expertise or opinions in an informative and entertaining manner
- (c) they need to focus on telling us not selling us
3) Launched the podcasts companion website (this Site) on 10/01/2010. We did this to get some feedback on upcoming show topics and guest recommendations.
4) Started the Internet Marketing Podcast LinkedIn Group (10/7/2010). We did this to get some feedback on upcoming show topics, guest recommendations and to leverage the professional network aspects of LinkedIn. In addition, some of the initial and future guests are part of our the show host and show producers primary networks.
5) Started recording the first shows interviews and segments. (10/10/2010).
6) The first shows are set to stream in 11/2010. Check back with this site, the linked in group or iTunes for additional show updates and information.
